Once I became acquainted at European Equestrian Center I was appointed to train volunteers. Through this experience I was able to improve my leadership skills while learning how volunteer based organizations worked. Every week I would hold a seminar educating volunteers on a topic usually regarding safety or equine care, one week I did have a guest speaker who educated us on epilepsy.
Since I was a bit confused on how a nonprofit organization ran I came up with a web of all the people who weaved their time into making it work. I also helped EEC by adding a liability waver pertaining to insurance and sufficient termination notice. In doing so I improved my legal verbiage. I really enjoyed working with the volunteers because they were infected with the passion for the cause.
